Should i leave my piercing in, or should i take it out, and if i leave it in, wat should i do to help it?

i got a second piercing in my ear, i took out the earing in 1 month, but it started to bleed. so for the next few weeks i took it out everyday to clean it, but i kept getting scabs in my ear lobe. i have left it in for 3 weeks now and randomly it started to hurt. it got all puffy and red, then my ear started to bleed. i really dont want to have to close it up and re-pierce my ear, but im not sure if i could get really sick from the infection.
Answer:
You shouldn't take the jewelry out while it's healing, and if it's red and irritated it's still healing, borderline infected. You don't need to take it out but you must be diligent with keeping it cleansed. Don't use any medicine that's 'goopy' on it like bacitracin. Use something like liquid bactine and water in a 50/50 solution 3x a day. Or a warm sea salt solution. But don't take the jewelry out to clean the hole. That will only irritate the piercing itself. This site shows 2 methods of keeping the piercing clean and making it heal properly. I prefer the sea salt soak.http://tattoo.about.com/cs/beginners/l/b...***I strongly recommend you never to go to a place like Claire's or a mall kiosk to get a piercing done. They are NOT professionals. They have NOT been through classes and apprenticeships to learn how to pierce. A pro piercer will be a little more money, but isn't it worth it knowing that the person doing it is a licensed professional rather then a kid who got a p/t job at minimum wage and has a piercing gun?
if it is a cartalage peircing u will grow a bump and have to take it out till it goes down a little then push it back in but its a regular peircing ur ears are probably infected.
