I had a nail in my eyeball once. Actually it was wedged in between the eyeball and the socket. I pulled it out (first instinct) and it was fine. The eye doctor just had to clean out some debris and my eyeball was scratched a little, but not punctured.SO in my experience, it's a good thing to pull it out and then seek medical attention.But that's your eye, I think in other places you could bleed to death if you remove the nail.
