Self employed and need affordable health insurance for self and children?

Answer:
Assurance Health is a good, afforable independant health insurance. My family has that plan, with $15 co-payments at doctors office visits. I don't think that dental or vision is included, but they may offer that as an extra package with the health insurance.
There鈥檚 a new company offering low cost individual health plans in Texas for young, reasonably healthy people, and is a great health insurance solution for the self employed. You buy into a plan at a super low cost with fixed benefits that will cover the typical activities of a healthy person. Then, if something catastrophic happens, you have the option to get additional levels of coverage, even AFTER the event. You鈥檇 have to look into it for more details, but that was the gist. Even if you鈥檙e not in Texas, they鈥檒l be offering plans in additional states soon. Plus, they鈥檙e backed by a traditional insurance company that鈥檚 been around for over 70 years, so even though they鈥檙e new on the scene, they have a solid reputation behind them.
