Severe Ear pain and No money?

I have really bad ear pain, I have had it for abotu 5 days now. 5 in one ear and 3 in the other. NOw Im pretty much deaf. I am on 2 antibiotics from a previous illness. I dont have ANY money at all so my question is will the ER do anything? is the ER free for stuff like this
Answer:
Hi:Go to the ER, have them examine you and treat you. If a prescription(s) are given to you to be filled, ask for samples due to your financial situation. If they do not carry any samples then explain to your pharmacist the medical and financial situations and I am sure they can come up with some kind of plan. These people are there to HELP you, it is the business aspect of the facilities that are to blame for people such as yourself be afraid to go due to finances and they all are risking their health.DO NOT neglect your hearing due to a financial hardship. It is so not worth it. The hospitals and clinics also have programs for "Free Health Care" and or "Discounted Health Care" for those with financial hardships. Honestly, at this point 5 days into severe ear pain, I would go to the ER, be treated and properly cared for and also be sure to keep any follow up appointments that may be necessary. Then when the bill comes in (not for a few months at least) don't sweat it. Put it in your pocket go to the billing office and explain the finances, they will work out some arrangement that is beneficial to you all.I do hope you feel better soon.I do hope that you feel better soon.Take Care
Go there and worry about the money costs later. They do not expect you to pay when you go in there The docs send you mail (bills)
Yes if you go to the ER of your local hospital they will check it out. Check and see if there is a state or county hospital near you also.
no it won't be free but any county operated hospital will have to treat you. they can't turn you down just because you don't have any money or insurance. they will set you up on a small payment plan--whatever you can afford every month. even if you can't pay but $5.00 a month they have to take it no matter how long it takes. what was the antibiotics you are taking for and how old are they? if they are out of date they probably are not good anymore and not all of them will treat all things. if you can't hear because of this i suggest you go to get it treated as soon as possible or you could loose your hearing permanently. in the meantime try pouring some alchol in them and put a cotton ball in to keep it from all coming back out and put warm compresses on them. that always helped my earaches. good luck
