My 3陆yr old daughter woke up at about 1am on Thursday and was violently sick. She then continued to be sick on and off until about 10am then it stopped. She continued to have a temperature for the remainder of the day and didn't want to eat, but by Friday she was right as rain.
Neither me nor the hubby have caught it and I'm puzzled (but very glad) that it didn't last very long and wasn't accompanied by diarrhoea. The only thing I'd known her to eat that was "unusual" was some grass the previous day (copying the dog - kids!) Is there a shortlived bug like this going round or did she suffer food poisoning, does anyone have experience like this?

Hi Again Rachel - Her in Kent there is a 24 hour bug going round as well as the never ending throat infection and chicken pox. Hope she has shaken it off and you two don't inherit it. Good luck. xx
My daughter has been ill like this a couple of times. They just blow through viruses faster sometimes. Perhaps because their immune systems are on hyperdrive?
it was the grass. Dogs and cats piss on grass. Hope your daughter is ok now though
Sounds like she may have gotten sick off the pestiduces in the grass or dog feces on the grass she may have eaten (Just being real, I know its gross, hopefully she didn't) once it passed through her system, she sounds okay.. or a 24hr flu... just thoughts:)
Being so young, I would take her to your Dr. to make sure she is ok. They do get those 24 hour bugs like we do sometimes, but to be safe, I would make a visit to the Dr. Good luck and God bless.
check her temperature hourly ,since she aint eating it could be anything ,but the grass could have caused obstruction ,is she passing stool or flatus...?
She could have picked up something from the grass.
Although the dog can eat it ( sometimes they are sick ) it is full of bad things, dog and cat poo, and urine , droppings from birds and small animals like mice.
Also the grass could be sprayed with something.
I am pleased she is OK now,!!!
I was ill like that in Japan a few years ago. All I'd eaten was an omlette but I reckon the eggs must have been dodgy coz I was really sick for about 12 hours and then it went away completely. It must have been the grass.
sometimes something just disagrees with them, i wouldn't be overly concerned! glad she is back to normal, it's horrible when they are poorly! m x
