Severe back pain?

I have severe back pain from an injury 4 years ago. It is a crippling pain and I cannot lay down, sit, or stand for awhile without it hurting. Is there something I can take or do about it?
Answer:
GO TO THE DOCTORS HOENY!
i think you should really go to a doctor, Most people wont be very much help to you online. i think ur doctor could do sumthing. maybe there may still be sum surgery to do!!!
ibuprofin and hydrogodon is what i take, get an mri done
You can either go to the doctor or sit home and suffer. There's no way to tell what type of injury you had, so it's difficult to suggest a solution. If you're hurting right now, go to the ER.
If you want to save years of time, get a referal to a dotor called "PAIN MANAGEMENT DOCTOR" That is all they do is make people not hurt. Regular docs will not help you much.
PM docs do not worry about addictions , so that is up to you.
The best meds for stopping all pain is to take vicodin with soma, but it is very addictive so you have to watch it.
But you will feel no pain, I can tell you that.
You need to go to the doctor. He will probably order an MRI of your spine for a diagnosis. You may have a herniated disc which is compressing the nerve root from your spinal chord, which causes the type of pain you are describing. This can be serious if the spinal chord is compressed. Advil may give you some temporary relief.I'm so sorry you're in pain. Please see your physician for a proper diagnosis and pain relief.
Try ice for 20 minutes, then heat (moist usually works better, then ice again as much as you need to. Motrin usually helps with the inflammation but make sure to take some light food with it because it can upset your stomach sometimes. Also, Solenpas pain patches work great and you can get them at your pharmacy without prescription, they will really help for now. Obviously you need a doctor too but until you can get in to one try the above. I've been there and totally feel for you!
Hello,You could try a combination of ice and then heat. If the pain continues of course you should seek some medical attention. If you need more help with back pain head over to http://onlinebackpain.com -- they are part of the health information network http://the-health-information-network.co...Best Of Luck,Tom
